Even though Alex & Clare were up until recently living and working in Vietnam, they managed to pull off one epic wedding day! With a lot of help from friends and family, all the details, from the flowers grown at Clare’s parents house in Farway to the stunning lanterns decorating the venue and Clare’s dress that was brought all the way from Vietnam, were perfect.
The Day started off with Clare getting ready in Sidmouth at a little cottage near the town centre with all her bridesmaids. When I got there they informed me they had all been swimming in the sea that morning which sounded pretty cold to me but definately a great way to wake up on the morning of your wedding. The sky threatened to rain but it was not dampening anyone’s spirits and Clare informed that they had got umbrellas for the outdoor ceremony – just in case. Clare’s parents then turned up with all the flowers which were beautiful and soon after the dress was going on. Super beautiful and all the way from Vietnam. I was then off to Honiton where the very beautiful Tracey Estate is.
I was met by Alex and his groomsmen who were all looking very smart. Everyone seemed very relaxed and the rain only managed a few drops throughout the ceremony. I think almost as soon as the couple has tied the knot the sun came straight out and shone for the rest of the day. (Apart form one major downpour, but it doesn’t count if it lasts less than 10 minutes!)
The couple and their friends and family had delicious food provided by the Devon Spotted Pig event catering company and danced to Mrs Midnight.
